Liu Xin – I think is a very honest guy, best to do ask him directly the questions, I suggest that 'cause He is always ready to assist (knows very well all Chinese CNC products, has a blog where he compares components and machines of different producers)

27. It depends on the material. I have an article on my blog telling how thick can a a laser machine cut. for 1290 model, the work size is 1200x900mm, so you can make your alphabet in this size if you want.

29. The 100w laser may cut carbon steel sheet very thin. It can cut thick acrylic 10~15mm. With a higher power (130~150w) it can cut max 25mm acrylic.

31. yes.It can cut thicker with slower speed. However, the problem is that the wood may get burnt in low speed cutting.

    So, if a big air compressor can't avoid the burning you may consider use N2 gas

    Is the speed the same if you are cutting 16 mm (or thereabout) MDF wood?

    How much wood is burned at the cut? – does the finished piece have a good tolerance with respect to the computer model the piece is being cut from or do they differ a milimeter or so in dimensions?

38. The Chinese lasers will cut and engrave about the same as the American machines, just a lot cheaper. frontlinelasers

41. 100w at 90%. China laser tubes are not so powerful as foreign tubes even marked same power.
