  1. Nice. If the jig board extended further so that the cut out guide was completely surrounded there would be less chance of the router tipping towards the operator. Good video though

  2. I appreciate the video and your effort but unfortunately this didn't cover anything about making the adapter plate for your router or how the template was made. Some close up shots of the cut would have been helpful in understanding how the mortise was made. I'm still very much in the dark about how to accomplish this task. Recommend some better camera angles and lengthening the video to go into more detail so novices like me can understand how you make it look so easy. Thanks.

  3. I've used jigs like this for years. The only addition I would make is that the platfrom the router sits on extend several inches towards the operator so the router won't have the tendancy to tip when starting the cut and would be sitting on a mostly flat surface. Not mentioned is all the prep that it takes to make the jig in the first place, like getting the side to side measurement perfect. this comes from trial and error and lots of practice cuts in scrap material until the hinge fits snug.
