So I have always wanted to try to make a sign with a router. I found a small handheld router for $20.00 and figured what the hay!! I’ll give it a try. Now to all the sign makers out there…..I know this isn’t perfect and it could be done a lot better. I will continue to practice on this skill and teach myself how to make a better product. But anyways, it’s a lot of fun to do and I will definitely be making more in the future.
Thanks for watching!!!

Nice job, I need to make a bunch of school garden signs. Your method will work fine.
Wat type of bits do u used dor Rhode words
Nice
Respect from hopkinsville ky man. Nice work , especially for first try. I'm getting ready to try my first one here in the next few days myself
For a first effort, and self taught, I say bravo. I have been wood working for 30 some years, and I cannot begin to tell you how many tips and tricks I I have learned since watching YouTube. I like your channel for your honesty. There is a learning curve to everything. I have made a couple of signs, but I'm about to up my game with a cnc. Please keep putting out content and ignore the wood worker police.
Nicely done – you're a very friendly soul and I like your style Mr. Popo ?
You said you used a cover bit? Gonna try this. Just got a router and tried to make a sign using a v-bit. Was a little challenging. The way you painted it before staining made my way of doing it soooooo hard!!!!!! Gonna use your method next time.
That's awesome for a first time! I'm the same way when learning new things, self taught. I'd pay $20 for this! Lol for real
Keep on keeping on bud
Man you don't worry about that keep on keeping on !
In the light it looks like icing ? good job
Awesome job ! I always wanted to try my hand at making wood signs now you have inspired me to give it a try! I have the same exact trim router. LOL
Done a better job than me I still can’t grasp it, too many router bits.
The people who do it all the time started out with a first sign too. Everyone is new at something sometime in their life.
Good job brother!
Looks great ! Practice makes perfect. CNC wouldn’t be handcrafted.
You did a great job and he dis likes are the ones with know talent
Im songlad i found this video. I want to try making a sign and i dont have all the fancy tools. I use what i have. Lol thank you for sharing!
Great job
The sad part about this comment is no dislikes anything anymore. Don't know how to feel about not seeing thumbs down anymore.
What router you used for?
(smashes subscribe)
Can you show the bit that you used close up please?
Very nice, now you have encouraged me to try, thank you!
Excellent job! Well done!
nice job.
I think this was a GREAT video. I'm gonna give this a shot.
That is a gorgeous sign. I am impressed.
I enjoyed this very much and hope to try doing something similar. You kind of jumped right to the carving of the wood without showing how you laid out the lettering. It looks like you used some kind of transfer film but I'd like to hear what exactly you used so I can do the same
I think you did great for a first time.
If you like sign making, try doing one with a chisel, I find I have good control and get crisp letters. You've done better than I have with the router, good show
I LOVE IT!!! It's officially I'm getting one for Father's day! thank you for the video.
I was just getting ready asked you what bit did you use I just bought me one and I want to do just what you did what B was it
Looks good to me, and I like your attitude towards it. That's what will get you where you want to be. Thanks for posting it.
cool good job
Nice work way to go PoPo ?
Looks good for a first timer. You'll only get better when you do more signs. Don't give up.
