Part 3 of a series on how to build a CNC plasma cutter table. All the parts are complete. Check out my playlist for the build below. In this video, I am building the water table of the CNC table. Some back story this is my 3rd build of a CNC plasma table. The first build you see in this video, while the second one I made was for a friend, featured in the THC video on my channel. This design is based on the design I designed for my friend. Hope this video helps.

Notes:
* These are the linear rails I bought, though because I don’t have space in my shop I have to keep my machine outside and these rails have rusted, just keep this in mind
** I know the linked Stepper Motor Driver is unavailable. I just wanted to link the exact one I used. The second link is a driver that looks similar, I just have not used it so can’t guarantee anything

Hi, i am going to build one. But i am wondering if its better to use a waterbed or a floor grate. And a big funnel under. And do i need 3 axis (do i need the torch height controller?). Or can i use 2 axis. Thanks 🙂
Enjoying the series. Looking forward to the next ones. Thanks for sharing!
Where are you going to show the finished table?
Is there a part 4?
Hi, thank you for this.. im going to build one of these.. Do you have a part 4??
Hello, when will you post part 4?
thanks bro……your video is very good. I can will try to build it.
Hi, what about gantry gear reduction? You decide to go with direct gear.
Looking forward to part 4 🙂
Great!!!! And of course the wind only blows when it's time for paint!! ??
Phenomenal work. One tip for the future, You welded the frame on a not so flat floor, to remedy that, every surface can be made flat with 3 points of contact. Basically make a large cross with sturdy steel sufficient enough for the project, then support it at 3 points with machinist jacks, captive nut and bolt or whatever you want. Then clamp your frame together on that, get it square (not flat) then use the level to level everything length wise, turn the level perpendicular and make sure the pieces are square to each other. Do a diagonal measurement to make sure your still square. Then tack weld alot before final welding. I had to build a massive ibeam structure that was going to be lifted to a nearby mountain, in the middle of a dessert. Tape measures, levels, plumb bobs and soapstone. I didnt think of this but it has worked for me so many times. The cross we made was 30’x20’.
Awesome build! Can't wait for the next part..
This is absolutely amazing new subscriber here ?✌️?
Thanks Bro have shared this knowledge for us,
Salam from ?? Indonesia
Just subscribed great content look forward to seeing more of the build.
Knowledgeable video thanks Tosh
Great job with the design. Have you considered replacing parts of the gantry with aluminum to reduce weight? I'm trying to plan a cnc build right now, thank you for the downloadable plans they are exactly what I needed.
Great video again mate.
Nice and simple. ? Thanks for the tip on placing the slats perpendicular to the gantry… Never thought of that.
İ know that it will superb.what is the cutting arena? Cm
Big HI from Kuwait.. Nice job ??? keep it rolling ?
