We taped a video camera to the gantry on our Torchmate CNC Plasma Cutting Table for a ride along while it was cutting. Here you can see the plasma cutter going up and down using the Arc Voltage Torch Height Control. The plasma cutter fires at a higher pierce height and then drops to the proper cut height prior to moving. In the video we are cutting out the plates we use to build the Torchmate 2×2 CNC Prototyping System Water Tables out of 3/16″ thick mild steel. For more information go to http://www.torchmate.com.

Just viewed your video mate, absolutely love the content. Subscribed straight away, We should connect!

Now that's a real lightsaber from star wars.. =)
what does CNC stands for? Is it a company?
we produce the laser cutting machine and cnc router
What program are you using for nesting the parts?
Will this torch height control work with a 6 axis robot plasma cutter? I cut some pretty complex parts from press formed 10 gauge stainless steel and setting the plasma tip spacing can be a nightmare sometimes.
Is that steel? How thick is it? What's the liquid, and where is it coming from?
Thats an awesome bit of kit, CNC technology sure is impressive. we have a CNC router at our workshop, but yours kinda makes it look like a toy haha
