I bought the plans, printed the parts…so now time to make the structure .
I consider better for me to weld the tubings instead of bolting them…do you have issues about it?
I had to buy 0,125 tubing because 0,065 was not available; just not sure about the weight of the gantry…thinking of making holes on it to make it lighter????
I wish I could give more thumbs up. Thanks for all the work you have put into this and your willingness to share it with us. We live in such amazing times where these things are possible. Just as cool as the tech is the fact that we can make good money from giving things away! This is the open source way.
Hi, fantastic videos, I was wondering how big of a build plate, do you need to print the 3d parts please?
What kind of controller will be used for plasma cutter
hi i bought the plans .can you tell how much infill the 3d parts have
Looks good. Very Very close to the langmuir system design .
That gantry structure makes sense. Three sides are open, nothing limits the size of material to be cut. Nice work, very little welding was needed.
Looking awesome guys, watching you do the math was making my head hurt lol
Very Nice work! I'm wondering if the plastic spacer/standoffs will relax over time and the frame bolts may loosen? 100% fill on the bearing brackets?
Really well made 🙂 I am considering making something similar, as I both have the welder and 3D Printer and should be able to make this. Have you done the drawings yourself for the 3D Printed items?
Looks cool !. The audio is pretty subdued and the addition of the music makes it very hard to hear anything you are saying.
Nice start to this build.
What source are you going to run,and which controller.
Just asking, as my budget built went overbudget as I had to replace low budget parts for medium budget parts, as the low budget parts were not up to snuff.
Awesome build, can't wait to see it working, will you be selling plans or printed parts, I'd buy them .
nice job
